Walt Disney World

Average Rating from TPW Users

WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT was the last project of Walter Elias Disney. This Resort is a dedication of talents, and the loyalty of the entire Disney organization that made Walt Disney’s dream come true.

Walt was frustrated with the lack of size that Disneyland offered, so he wanted Walt Disney World to offer the one thing that Disneyland could not, the luxury of size. Covering over 30,000 acres Walt Disney wanted Walt Disney World to be a place where “age relives fond memories of the past, and where youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. It is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America… with hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to the entire World.”

With over 35 million guests visiting the resort yearly, Walt Disney World Resort continues to grow in size and scope far greater than anyone could have imagined when the resort first opened in 1971.
