Do you have little ones who love animals and likes to learn about them, well, take the first train out to Rafiki’s Planet Watch? Rafiki’s Planet Watch can be found back in Africa behind Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You will take a 6 minute train ride to get back to the area, and along the way take notice of the behind the scenes nightly homes for the animals. Keep a close watchful eye, because sometimes-there maybe baby animals that have been born on the preserve at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

As you walk down the trail to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, make sure you take in all the animal exhibits and kid stations along the way. You will see some unique small animals that are usually hard to find or even see.

You will want to get to Rafiki’s Planet Watch early, because there are medical procedures being performed until around 11 in the morning. Guests can see almost any kind of procedure or any animal. There are stations where guests can talk  with cast members as they prepare the food for the animals. As always’ in true Disney style guest can have meet in greets with some very special characters. Kids will also enjoy going into Affection Station to brush, pet, and even hug some cute and cuddly furry friends. Make sure to talk with the cast members at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, because they are full of information and fun stories about the animals.

Stop by the Wildlife Tracking Center where guests can learn how information is gathered on all the animals on Disney property. Step inside Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas to hear the story of the Song of the Rainforest, where guests will learn the strong message of saving the Rain Forest.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch is an often-overlooked treasure with a wealth of information and fun.
