In 1986 legendary entertainer artist Michael Jackson joined forces with Disney to create a ground breaking 17-minute 3D film called Captain EO, Disney closed the attraction in 1994. Disney decided this beloved attraction would give an opportunity for a new audience to experience the original production of 3D film with some of the greatest talent in the film industry today.

This film has it all from the unforgettable show-stopping musical numbers performed by Michael Jackson, to stunning special effects images orchestrated by executive producer George Lucas and director Francis Ford Coppola.

Disney has made acoustical enhancements to the theater, which improved the sound considerably. Captain EO is filled with unforgettable music and imagery that will take a new generation of Guests on a journey to the stars.

The attraction’s return to Future World in Epcot in July of 2010, has provide new audiences the opportunity to experience the original 3D production for the very first time. With the passing of the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson the attraction has also brought back a nostalgic look back for longtime fans wanting to see Jackson in a rare performance created for the big-screen, just one more time.
