Universal Studios has creates a radically innovative roller coaster with Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. This coaster combines highly sophisticated audio of hit music crossing 5 genres of music: rap/hip hop, country, classic rock/metal, pop/disco and club with breathtaking first time ever maneuvers. Riders will have 45 seconds to pick their own soundtrack to listen as they hurl through a series of never-before-attempted maneuvers at speeds up to 65 m.p.h.

Universal Studio’s Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is not only the tallest, but also the largest and fastest X-CAR style roller coaster in the world. It features 3,800 feet of steel track, a 17-story vertical lift and six maneuvers – three of which have never been built before. So what are these 6 maneuvers? Well…. The Vertical Lift is the first rider experience. You will be hoisted 167 feet vertically in the air in 16.5 seconds. Hold on to your hats once you reach the top, because the next maneuver is the first of 3 never been done maneuvers called the Double Take. The rider is dropped from the vertical lift at 65 mph and ascends into the world’s largest non-inverted loop. You zoom along the inside of the track until you reach the top, where you twist to the outside of the track and ride over the top of the loop. You then twist back inside the loop for your descent. The Double Take stands at 136 feet tall and is 103 feet at its largest diameter. The next is the Treble Clef maneuver the second of the First-Ever Maneuvers this ride offers. This maneuver lets the rider rock out in the tracks of a music symbol. Not only is it the first time this maneuver has ever been done, but the Treble Clef also bursts through a building façade, sending you roaring over the New York area of the park. The last of the three innovative maneuvers is the Jump Cut. This is a negative gravity maneuver that instead of going straight up and then down, the Jump Cut is a spiraling maneuver giving the rider the feel of a corkscrew without going up side down. The last 3 maneuvers are Crowd Surfing 33 feet above ground at a 95 degree angle, Drop Tuning past the Blue Man Group and finally the Plot Twist which is an inclined loop.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit definitely packs plenty of adrenaline for all you thrill seekers. It’s where music and technology meet to give the rider a unique experience, no matter how many times you ride.
